Introduction Roleplay
Scene 1 || The Age of Orton is Upon Us
There you sit, inpatient as ever as you stay there on your couch, watching your television.
You're currently tooned into the USA network, and you now begin to count the minutes until your clock reaches nine, the hour in which the best wrestling company in the world, airs there wrestling Saturday Night's most popular television show, Warzone to the world. As the clock strikes 8:59, a deep, ominous voice sounds through your television hyping the show, and announcing the matches, and any stipulations the matches withhold. Then as the clock finally strikes nine, and you breathe a sigh of relief, the ICW parental warning comes onto your television. It shows ICW superstars of the past and present being hit with miscellaneous objects, and crashing through tables. After these sequences of violence, they would show the superstar afterwards, and there you’d see the men broken, battered, and bloody. They even showed a few clips of superstars being stretchered out of arenas, and the look of complete aw from members of the crowd. Then as the last hurt superstar is shown to the public, a red warning symbol shows up on the screen, and underneath it is the actual warning, asking the viewers to please don’t try the following at home.
Then after the parental advisory ends and fades off of the screen, the camera switches to the inside of the Melon Arena in Pittsburg, Pensilvania, where thousands upon thousands of men, women, and children are seen on there feet screaming for the show to get underway. As the camera begins to pan the vast sea of crowd members, the Warzone theme song, Not Listening," by Papa Roach blares through the arena's public address system. In the crowd, various signs are seen such as “Hardy is God”, “Candice is TOO hot.” and “Who Wants A Mustache Ride?” are all seen being held up by various fan members in attendance tonight. Then as the camera’s pan continues further and further, the audience at home catches sight of the ICW stage and almost as if queued to match the pan, fireworks blast up from the stage. They’re colored in forms of warm colors. Reds, yellows, and oranges of all sorts. The blasts start from the right of the stage and gradually work their way over to the left, and when it ends on the stage, pyro from the ceiling erupts in gorgeous forms of blue circling around the arena, amazing the Pittsburg fans in attendance tonight. After the fireworks ends, the camera cuts over to the announce table where Tony Schiavone and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan are both seated. After the arena quiets just a bit, Tony and Bobby both begin announcing tonight’s action.
Tony Schiavone
"Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen to Saturday night's main source of entertainment, ICW’s flagship show, Warzone! I am play by play man, Tony Schiavone and sitting next to me is none other than the Wrestling Hall of Famer, and resident ICW color commentator, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. N-…"
Bobby Heenan
"Hey big mouth, are you ever gonna let me talk? I can honestly guarantee you that the fans at home would much rather listen to my insightful intellect, rather than your annoying voice."
Tony Schiavone
"Okay, Okay Bobby Jeez!.. Anyways, tonight is going to be absolutely chalked full of elite wrestling action and what could be better, huh partner?"
Bobby Heenan
"Call me Bobby, Tony.. Anyways, you are right, tonight's action is gonna be big. To start tonight off, we're going to see Paul London take on The Undertaker. And in my opinion Tony, I don't think mister London has a chance against The Dead man."
Tony Schiavone
"I wouldn't write off London that fast Bobby, the kid's got heart and could possibly take the legend to his limit... And next ladies and gentlemen, we'll see up and comers Mike Dibiase and Chuck Taylor verse in a one on one match-up."
Bobby Heenan
"Then after that we'll see a non-title match putting ICW World Heavyweight Champion, Christian Cage up against Television Champion, Tyler Black. In my opinion Tony, this match is definitely worthy of being a main event match-up"
Tony Schiavone
"I agree whole-heartedly Bobby, but the next match-up is every bit as good. We'll see Mr. Kennedy and Candice Michelle take on Victoria and Kurt Angle in a mixed tag team match that's sure to bring the roof down on this arena."
Bobby Heenan
"And in the main event of this evening, we'll see James Keenan and Joey "Magnum" Ryan battle in the ring for Keenan's Transatlantic Championship"
Tony Schiavone
"But first, I'm receiving word that a superstar is going to be coming to the ring to address the fans... A New Superstar! He's a four time world champion, and is one of the biggest acquisitions in ICW history. "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton!"
Boos begin to fill the arena after a loud “Hey” sounds from the titantron, as “Burn in My Light” by Mercy Drive begins to play through out the arena. The music plays for a moment or two and Orton hadn’t come out just yet, but just as the crowd began to become restless, Orton walked out to the stage. He was seen wearing a black t-shirt that has a white skull on the front of it with golden blond streaks coming out of the top of it and the phrase “Age of Orton” in the same golden coloring over the top of it. The letters “RKO” are seen on the short sleeves of the shirt in gold and on the back of the shirt is the same “RKO’ only much larger and in a cursive font. He’s also wearing a nice pair of very dark blue jeans, and a pair of black shoes. As Orton walks onto the stage, he stops abruptly, spread his arms and raises them, keeping one above, and one below his head. As he does this, blasts of yellow fireworks fire behind him. He smirks at the crowd and moves his arms back to his sides, and as he does this, the pyro stops. He walks down the ramp looking from the left to his right, smirking arrogantly at the people in the audience. A single woman’s scream is heard over the crowd’s noise as she yells Orton’s name. As he walks by them, various fans try to reach out and touch Orton, but “The Legend Killer” shakes them off and ignores them. As he reaches them, Randy walks up the steel stairs and enters the ring through the middle ropes. He walks over to a turnbuckle and again raises his arms up, striking his patented “Orton Pose”. He does that for a moment, but then drops his arms down to his sides and jumping down from the corner post. When he gets down he walks backwards for a moment, turns around and then once more strikes the infamous Orton Pose. Then he walks over, and motions for the ring attendant to bring him a microphone, and when he does, Orton snatches roughly out of his hand and then turns away back into the ring. He then stares at the crowd for a moment, turning ever so slowly as if he were trying to see every single fan in attendance, until finally he raises the microphone up to his mouth, and begins talking to the jam-packed Pittsburg arena.
Randy Orton
"You people seemed surprised… Surprised that the face of World Wrestling Entertainment, “The Legend Killer” Randy Orton is here in an ICW ring… Well I’m here to prove a message to them, and to all of you. I’m here to say that the WWE needed Randy Orton, but Randy Orton Never Needed The WWE!.. In my eyes, and the eyes of many others, the only reason the WWE was on top through this decade, was because of one man... The Legend Killer, Randy Orton! I gave the WWE the best years of it's existence and you know what it gave me back in return?.. Not A Damn Thing!.. When I was just 24 years old, I went out during Summer Slam and beat one of the best wrestlers ever, Chris Benoit and became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in the history of the WWE... As a matter a fact, I am a 4 time World Champion and time after time, the so-called “Best of the Best” have all seemed to fall before me, one way or another… Every man you mindless idiots seem to love, have always been rungs below me on the ladder of success… Whether it was “The Showstopper” Shawn Michaels, or “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, or even “The Game” Triple H, " {The crowd cheers loudly to the sound of three of the most popular superstars to ever set foot in a wrestling ring, but they quickly quiet as Orton begins speaking once more} "The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels... As far as I'm concerned, Michaels has been washed up for awhile now. He knows and you all should know, that no matter what were to happen, he'd never be able to perform up to my caliber... And like a lot of you know, Shawn and I have had our problems in the past. It all started in 2004, at Unforgiven. It was then and there, that I, Randy Orton, became the legend killer, because it was on that night that I took Shawn to his limits, and pinned him 1, 2, 3 in the middle of the ring."{The crowd begins to scream, boo, and hiss at the "Legend Killer" and Orton chuckles to himself for a moment. After a few seconds of only the crowd's noise, Randy then raises the microphone to his mouth once more, and begins speaking again} "And it was only last year at Judgment Day, where I left Shawn Michaels in the center of the ring, alone and concussed... If I hadn't felt some sort of sympathy for Shawn, I would have ended his career right then and there... If I hadn't felt SORRY for Shawn Michaels, it would've been the last time anyone of you would've ever seen his old, ugly face again… Then we have, Ric Flair, the Brett Favre of professional wrestling. The old man just doesn’t know when to quit. I thought after he lost to Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 24 and retired, it’d be the last time I’d ever see him, but Ric just couldn’t stay away. He challenged me to a parking lot brawl a couple ‘a weeks ago on Raw, and I ended his career for him when I punted him in his head. I wouldn’t be surprised if the old man was still in a hospital bed today!”
The boos file in from the crowd, who all apparently have a high level of respect for the sixteen time world champion. Orton smirks at them and continues to talk
Randy Orton
"You people can't honestly be so stupid as to think that Ric Flair is the best wrestler ever. I could care less if he’s a sixteen time world champion, because the only thing that that says to me is that when the title was on the line for Ric, he couldn’t pull it out. It says to me that Ric can’t defend what he worked so hard to get. He spent his whole career winning the WWE title, only to lose it, and then he’d repeat the process again, and again… And to me, that’s not what a real champion is. A real champion is someone that has the drive to not only win the title, but to defend it to. A real champion is someone who’d be willing to risk his heart, body, and mind to keep that title. A Real Champion is Someone Like Me!.. There’s also another man that is also known for doing the same thing as Ric. And he’s the most overrated man in the history of wrestling. That man is none other than your beloved; Triple H. Hunter is a 13 time world champion, and the biggest joke to ever set foot in a wrestling ring… Hunter is known as one of the best wrestlers ever and I ask myself why. Because he’s always had some sort of ace in the hole. Whether it was me and Dave Batista saving his ass on a daily basis, or even his wife Stephanie McMahon convincing her father to give Hunter a title shot when ever he wanted. And speaking of Stephanie, do any off you remember the last time she was in a wrestling ring, because it was quite the image. From my memory, I think it was her lying in the center of a ring just like this, face down on the mat, unconscious. It was after Shane McMahon tried to get tough with me. And as it always is, when a weakling like Shane tries to stand up to a guy the likes of me, it never ends well. After I beat the holy hell out of him, Stephanie came to the ring and asked me why, and I replied with a RKO… It was only a matter of time before someone put them in their place, and I’m proud to say it was me that did it. For as long as I can remember Vince and Linda McMahon have let those mongrels run rampant across the wrestling world and I put an end to it. You could say that I did you people a favor… And speaking of Shane, I hear he’s here in ICW, as the MSW general manager, and also as the new No-Limit champion… Leave to a McMahon to use his authority power to get himself all the glory. There’s no way in hell that a pansy like that Shane McMahon could ever win any championship without a little help. If he really wanted to be a professional wrestler so bad, maybe he should spend a little less time dancing, and more time honing his skill."
The crowd boos as a MSW's own, Triple H is being verbally bashed by the "Legend Killer" Randy Orton. Orton slightly grins, as if he's amused by the fans getting so mad at what he's saying. He waits for a moments, taking in all of the crowd's hate, until he finally starts speaking once more a few moments later.
Randy Orton
"And getting back to Ric and Hunter, a few years ago the three of us, along with Dave Batista were all aligned in what was the greatest entity in wrestling history, Evolution. The four of us dominated the entire WWE and at one point in time, all four of us had championship gold… But this group just couldn’t be because Triple H and “The Nature Boy” got jealous of me. After I beat Chris Benoit to win the World Heavyweight Championship, Triple H and the rest of Evolution just couldn’t put their egos aside for once, and instead of congratulating, they decided to jump me like they part of a gang. They caught me off guard and beat me senseless like the cowards that all three of them are. I mean it takes a real man to fake a smile on your face, only to attack me from the back and beat me until I needed help just to get up. I can guarantee every single one of you, that one on one, none of the guys would’ve stood a chance against me. And now days, Ric and Hunter try to say that they made me. That if it wasn’t for either of them that I’d be nothing, but everyone knows that when you’re scared, the strangest things seem to come out of you’re mouth. And they’re both scared, just look at the expressions on their faces whenever I pass by… They’re scared that the legacy that they felt they’ve submitted is slowly being broken up and shrank, to get ready for the greatness that is Randy Orton! My greatness will overcome and overshadow everything Triple H or Ric Flair has ever done in this business, and they know that. So instead of accepting the inevitable, they make these outrageous statements, to try and further themselves from the truth. But I don’t need Ric Flair, I don’t need Triple H, I Don’t Need Anybody!.. There are two men in this industry that did need me though, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibase. Along with me, we were apart of a group that only consisted of 2nd or 3rd generation wrestlers, Legacy. All of are fathers and even my grandfather, wrestled in the WWE, and all of them are wrestling hall of famers. You see without me, the two were nothing. Just another one of those punk tag teams that wasn’t going anywhere, but after they joined forces with me, they became one of the best duos in the WWE and in the wrestling world in general. And they are two of the most talented young men in our business, but they’ll never get close to the phenomenon that I am. They’ll always live in my shadow, and in their father’s, while I have surpassed my father in every way. Where my father failed, you can rest assured that I’ll succeed. Everything my father couldn’t do in this ring, I can… As far as I’m concerned, my ticket to the hall of fame, has already be punched."
Randy stops and snarls at the fans, as the fans start an "Orton Sucks" chant that can be heard from every corner of the building. As the rage builds inside him, Randy pulls the microphone back up to his mouth and relieves himself by screaming at the fans.
Randy Orton
"Shut Up! All of You, Shut Your Mouths I've Got Something to Say!"
Some fans snap back and actually quiet down as there told, as if they were scared by bass in Orton's voice, but others get louder in attempt to be even be more disrespectful to "The Legend Killer". Orton shakes his head towards the crowds, and slowly moves the microphone back up to his mouth and begins speaking once more to the crowd.
Randy Orton
"Do any of you realize my importance to this company? I’m the guy that’s gonna lead this company into the next decade. I’m the man that’s gonna help ICW take the next step in its legacy. And all this is going to start with me, and 10 pounds of gold, wrapped around my perfect waist. And it all starts in MSW. And right now, Chris Masters has my belt. He’s made a living in this business by wrapping his arms around men and making them suffer by putting them in a Full Nelson he likes to call the Master Lock. Well I got news for all of you. If you think that, that’s suffering, well you’ve never been in the ring with Randy Orton. You’ve never felt the wrath of a knee being planted in your skull. You’ve never felt the excruciating pain of an RKO. Chris, there’s no way in hell your little full nelson is more torture than punt to the skull. Masters, I End Careers! If I were you, I’d just give up now, because there’s no stopping the inevitable, and it’s simply destiny that your title, is gonna mine real soon. Just like it was destiny when I won the World Heavyweight Championship at only 24 years of age, and just like it was destiny that I would become the biggest, most talented, and best looking athlete to ever step into a wrestling ring… Chris you’d better hope that you even wake up after I’m done with you. You’d better pray to god, that I’m merciful enough to only take your title, but who knows? Maybe giving you mercy might just slip my mind. Maybe my killer instincts might just kick in when our match is over. Maybe after Michael Buffer announces my name to the world as the new Mid-South Wrestling Champion and the referee raises my hand. I might take my boot, and ram across your skull. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll end your career. Maybe after I take your title, I Might Just End Your Career! And that’ll be that, and I think the wrestling world might be a better, more productive place, if The Masterpiece wasn’t around anymore. You see Chris, it won’t just be me taking your title and ending your career, I’ll be doing the wrestling world a huge favor… And that’s only the beginning people. After I’m done with Masters and the Age of Orton has begun, then the most dominate run of all time will have began. I don’t see anyone on the MSW roster that can challenge me, including Triple H. His time has come and gone, and now he’s all he is now, is just a guy that lives off the past. He’s washed up. I am young, talented, and I’m in the best shape of my life. Hunter can’t compete with me anymore, hell; I don’t know who Hunter can compete with anymore. He’s following in the footsteps of Ric Flair exactly. He’s slowly and steadily falling off the radar, and just like Ric, it’s only gonna be a matter of time before he meets the end of my boot, and of his career… And it’s certain that I won’t be on MSW forever, and when I move over to Warzone or to ShowDown, I’ll have to the same thing to those rosters as I’m gonna do to MSW. I’m going to dominate every man they put in the ring with me, and when it’s all said and done, I’m gonna be known as simply the best wrestler to ever set foot in an ICW ring. But like an old associate of mine always used to say, to be the best, you have to beat the best. And if that means taking out every superstar I come across, well so be it. I’m up to the challenge, and it wouldn’t have been the first career that I’ve ended."
Randy drops the microphone to his side and smiles arrogantly towards the crowd, and the audience boos in response. Randy looks to each side of the arena, looking at all of the people that have filled into this arena. After looking around for a few moments, Randy pulls the microphone back up to his face, and begins talking once more
Randy Orton
"You see, there’s a reason why I’m known as “The Legend Killer” and pretty self explanatory. I challenge and take on the people all of you know and love, people that you grew up watching and cheering on, and I go out into the ring and show each and every one of you that the men you think are legends, are nothing more than scrubs. So-called legends like that need to be taught a lesson, and that’s that they just don’t have it any more, and they need to hang up their boots. And if they’re too stupid to realize that, then that’s where I come into the picture. I don’t ask them to retire, I force them too. You people remember Rob Van Dam? I mean the last time I saw him in a ring; he was lying on the mat, unconscious because the toe of my boot was rammed across his worthless face. Rob was one of the most popular wrestlers in the world at the time, and I ended him right there. And then there are guys like Dusty Rhodes and Sgt. Slaughter… Guys most of you grew watching and idolizing about, and all it took was me to end both of their careers. I took to of the most respected men in all of wrestling, and imposed my will on the both of them. I showed the entire world that neither of those two chumps could stand a chance with me in the ring. And then as you all know, only a few weeks ago when I was in then WWE, that I took another career, Ric Flair’s. Ric came out to the ring and asked me to meet him in the parking lot that night, and I obliged him. I took him, and I beat the holy hell out of him. By the time the inevitable came and I ended father time, I can promise all of you that he wasn’t resisting the end; he was looking forward to it. Looking forward to the end of the ass kicking I was giving him, and the start of his real retirement… And those men won’t be the last, you can rest assured. There’s always gonna be another chump who thinks he can step to me, but they’ll have to accept their fates. They’ll have to accept the fact that they pissed off the wrong guy, and that they just prematurely ended their careers…"
Randy looks around for a bit and pauses for a moment. He only pauses a few seconds to take in the immense boos being issued to him by the crowd, and then he begins speaking once more.
Randy Orton
"All of you need to figure out what this is all about… You need to realize that this is bigger than you, and that with me, ICW can finally make its move into the promise land. So ICW can take its rightful place, on the top of the mountain… Do any of you honestly think that you booing is gonna make me change my ways? Are you so stupid as to believe that the fact that you people hate me is gonna get under my skin?.. Well the truth is, is that no matter how much any of you hate me, the feeling is more than mutual. You see it doesn’t matter what any of you people think, because you’re looking at the new face of ICW. From here on out, I am the judge, the jury, and the executioner. With me as its biggest star, no other company in the world will be able to compete with us. I am the biggest star this industry has ever known… Bigger than The Rock, bigger than Austin, and damn sure bigger than Hogan. The dawn of a new era has begun. Start of something new. I’m better the rest, and I’ll be better than the next. ICW, get ready to be taken by storm, because “The Legend Killer” Randy Orton is here to stay. Stay tuned folks, because the Age of Orton is officially beginning right now!"
Orton then drops the microphone to the mat, and exits the ring. After he leaves the opening match up inssues.
